I've compiled a list of my fic recommendations for Jaime/Brienne. A few caveats: I have read the books, so these fics may be both Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire spoiler-ridden; I much prefer longfic, so many of these are multi-chapter and very few are one-shots, just per my tastes; and finally, I don't read many AUs for this fandom, so don't expect it to be AU heavy.
Also, most (read:all) of these will have explicit sexual and violent content, so they are strictly for those of age. Will add as necessary.
The Gentlest Schism by SandwichesYumYum This fic is so fiercely moving that I can't think of another in its league for slow-paced, canon-compliant Jaime/Brienne endgame. It's a WIP, being reposted gradually, but it's worth the wait. One of the single best fics I've read, and certainly one of the best for this ship.
Bound Together by Nurdles and almostabeauty Okay, so I said no AUs... this is one of my few exceptions. A recent discovery, this fic is quickly worming its way into my heart (read:pants) and comes from two of my favorite Jaime/Brienne fic writers. It's naughty, but oh so fun and sweet too. The honesty that comes with Brienne and Jaime's anonymity is refreshing. WIP.
Taking the Silver by Nurdles This is another WIP, but is pretty far along. This fic has some really interesting dynamics between Cersei and Brienne because of the latter's involvement with Jaime. Post ADWD, Jaime/Brienne endgame, good smut, lots of characters not just J/B. Nurdles is awesome.
Honor Thy Regard by SigilBroken GOOD GOD This is the best thing I have ever read. So freaking amazing. It's almost painful to read this -- the writer captures the nuances of Jaime and Brienne so perfectly. Novel length, nine-part somewhat angsty series, with a slow build and slow burn, and of course, great characterization. It doesn't get much better than this.
The Kiss of Life by igotanobsession This is a medium-length post-ADWD fic, canon compliant and picking up immediately where GRRM leaves off. Well written, restrained, and well constructed, this fic is satisfying and exciting.
Three Nights on the Run by Brienne of Thrace This is another post-ADWD canon continuation, in which Jaime and Brienne must deal with the fallout of their encounter with Lady Stoneheart and the Brotherhood Without Banners.
The Covering Sky by Rellie Epic WIP that needs to be updated! Really good interactions among Jaime, Cersei, and Brienne. Canon divergent from season 3. This fic is one of the best I've come across, and toes the line between acknowledging the importance of Jaime/Cersei while still shipping him with Brienne.
To Have and To Hold by Magnetism_bind So I'm breaking my rule. This is an exceptional one shot. It's AU where Jaime marries Brienne when Tywin makes him take a wife. Great smut, lots of pain, really awesome banter between Jaime and Brienne. Overall a great one-shot.
Mercy in You by Miss_M Yes, yes, again. Another one-shot. LOTS OF PAIN on Brienne's end, dealing with living in Cersei's shadow. Miss_M captures their longing and their compatibility so well, and the sex is well written too. The callousness of their banter betrays their true feelings in a realistic way, and it's so them.

Chris Pratt is the bomb
I'm on a Chris Pratt kick, right now, just like (according to tumblr) the rest of the world. It all started with Parks and Recreation, which I binge-watched last year, after having seen the first couple of episodes when they aired and not loving it. I revisited them thanks to my friend, who convinced me to try from the beginning of the second season, which did the trick.
So I worked my way through all of Parks and Recreation, even to the current season (I spend way too much money on iTunes), and along the way fell in love with Andy Dwyer. He has this childlike innocence that is both hilarious and endearing at the same time. It's such a joy to watch him on the screen because he comes through so honestly.
So then, I remembered that Chris Pratt was on Everwood, a show that I had only seen an episode of from the fourth season. Everything was coming together because I know all the main actors from that show from other things, so I decided it was high time to finally watch it from the beginning. Sarah Drew, Emily Van Camp, Gregory Smith, and Chris Pratt have all appeared in other media that I am rather familiar with, and so I embarked on an Everwood-watching spree. Of course, it's not on Netflix, so I bought the first season on iTunes. Then the second. Then a cliffhanger ending made me buy the third. That's where I am now, and it's living up to everything I expected, but there's still so much more to go.
In the meantime, Guardians of the Galaxy comes out, and I've seen trailers for it, not really sure what to expect either from this movie as part of Marvel's greater plot, or from Chris Pratt as a superhero. He's always been the lovable dufus, not the ripped hero guy. So when I saw GotG, I fell in love with him in a completely new way. I never expected to see this side of Chris Pratt, and it only makes him an even better actor. THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING. I had no idea.
So, here's a link to an article from Vulture that expresses a lot of this journey I've been undergoing for a while now.

So I started watching How I Met Your Mother
...and I kind of don't get it?
I mean, I love Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris, but the premise seems trite and I hate Ted and I don't know. Am I just not getting it?

i cannot and will not kiss that creep
Have you seen "Don't Trust the B**** in Apt 23"? Because it's funny to think about James van der Beek as himself in that show, a product of this one. It's funny. Trust me.
I didn't get to take anything besides Theology, Math, Social Studies/Government, English, French, and--
HOLY SHIT. I have just rediscovered my love of Scott Foley. Sigh.
New York is being painted as this den of sin. Now, I don't know how true that is. I can say that all the people I know from NY are more promiscuous that myself. Then again, it's not like that's difficult to accomplish.
And Katie Holmes is wearing a bikini top. How is this appropriate? And yet somehow I'm seeing less of her boobs than when she's wearing a shirt (braless, of course). Stay away, guys, remember, she's now married to TOM CRUISE, god of scientology.
Chapstick. This is when I think the seed was planted in my head about Chapstick being best for kissing. I went through a huge lip-gloss phase, but when I heard that Katy Perry song and then lived it, I realized that Mr. Leary was totally right. Chapstick is always the way to go.
I love this because if you didn't know about it later, you'd only see Joey and Pacey as obligatory acquaintances. And, truth be told, I don't know if I'd date Joshua Jackson at this point.
Why is it that a lot of tv shows take place in New England. Capeside, MA: Dawson's Creek. "Stars Hollow," CT: Gilmore Girls... okay, so I can only think of those two right now.
Then again there are a lot of tv shows and movies that take place in, for instance, Ohio. Like Glee, Greek, Accepted, etc.
My school dances did not look like this. It was a lot more awkward. Girls congregating in groups, eyes darting and giggling nervously. Boys standing with awkward features near the wall. No one really dancing for the first 3/4 of the dance. Then "keeping the Holy Spirit between you" as heterosexual "couples" "danced" for a song before skittering off.
Ugh I'm tired and have a long day tomorrow. As Joey says, "I'm too tired to philosophize, Dawson." So true.
i didn't have a friend like dawson when i was that age
Dawson thinks he and Joey can "transcend" the male/female issue that comes about with the "merging hormones" of 15 year olds. And they talk about it like they're sexual psychologists.
Hey, did anyone notice that at the beginning of Dawson's Creek (or at least for the pilot) the theme song isn't that "I don't wanna wait" song that gets stuck in my head so easily? It's hard for me to imagine this show without that intro. Don't you hate how they're getting rid of intros altogether?! I mean, what is Grey's Anatomy without those emo notes of "Cosy in the Rocket"?
Back to Dawson's Creek. Michelle Williams is on-screen for the first time and I love her. She is as awesome then as she is now. Post Heath Ledger, I can appreciate her even more for her "humble beginnings."
Calling food "orgasmic" is definitely not something I understood as a kid. Just thought I should say that. It's like "I touch myself" by Divinyls, "Sex and Candy" by Marcy Playground, etc. I was clueless.
What kind of a name is Pacey. These names are all so unbelievable.
Oh, VHS tapes. I miss those.
I don't know who sings this song or what it's called, but it's stuck in my head now.
Oh, Dawson. I reject reality, too. It's okay for you to do that, because you're the subject of a teen soap opera, but for those of us in the "real world" (the existence of which I can not actually attest to), that is the makings of a dissatisfied, career-less failure of a life (read: English majors).
Obsessive reality disorder. Is that actually a thing? Well, I think all of us probably create conflict like Dawson does, in different ways. I self-sabotage so I can complain and get attention from those around me.
"I don't covet a religious god, Grams, I'm an atheist." Damn. I wish I could say that to my grandparents with such conviction. But I can't.
And of course, we all looked like that in high school. Actually, setting aside the obvious celebrity attraction of these "beautiful people," they're not exactly perfect. Pacey is cultivating a truly magnificent unibrow. Joey's hair is a little frumpy. And the clothes, oh the clothes. I guess I can forgive them because it's the 90s and that is how things were.
"I have three menstrually diverse sisters, okay. Cosmo is my savior." Bah.
Cosmo is no one's savior. Just saying.
Why is this called Dawson's Creek, anyway? I mean, it's Joey that's always on the creek, back and forth to her sleepovers with Dawson.
Aw, shit. I am such a coward. I would never stand up to an authoritative figure like Miss Jacobs.
I'm glad to know that "wigged out" was a thing in the 90s. Joss Whedon took the language of the decade and made it even more awesome. Lol.
This song will always remind me of Toothless with Kirstie Alley. TEARS
Oh, Dawson, Katie Couric gets me hot too. *NOT*
"Nothing has to change," huh, Dawson? Well, to quote Captain Jack Harkness, "Everything changes."

because i don't have a ridiculous amount of things to do already, it seems time to rewatch a show
Well, here goes. Because I don't already have a billion things to do, I'm re-watching Dawson's Creek. Now, you should know, most of what I have seen of this was on some cable channel--reruns way after it aired that I watched after school while gorging myself on "butter sandwiches" (read: a shit ton of butter on bread), a time I barely remember. This is hardly a unique scenario for me. With Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the first full episode I saw was "Chosen," aka the series finale. With Veronica Mars, I got into the fandom right as the CW turned it to shit. I've gotten into nearly every fandom with which I've been obsessed either as it's dying, or long after it was put in the grave. Depressing, I know. Still.
So, here we are. YEARS later. And I'm probably going to get super obsessed with Dawson's Creek. Yup. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
